How is AES256 encryption managed on the HD-63?

Encryption keys are written via authorized programming software and a secure programming cable; access is role-controlled. Keys are device-bound and cannot be read back. If compromise is suspected, administrators can zeroize keys and re-load new ones.

What conditions are required for DMO 2 Slots to work on the HD-63?

All participating radios must support DMR Tier II direct mode and be aligned on frequency, color code, time-slot plan, and contacts. No repeater is used; two independent calls share one RF channel. Mixed analog users cannot join the same DMO 2-slot session.

How do Remote Kill / Stun / Revive functions operate on the HD-63?

Dispatch or an authorized radio sends a targeted command to a specific Radio ID. Kill fully disables a lost/compromised unit; Stun blocks TX (optionally RX); Revive restores service. The target must be within coverage and configured to accept remote commands. Mis-operations can be recovered by wired reprogramming.

How should VOX and Noise Cancellation be configured on the HD-63 for noisy sites?

Start with medium noise-cancellation, then tune VOX gain and VOX delay to avoid false triggers from machinery. A close-talk headset or speaker-mic improves VOX reliability. For critical tasks, prefer PTT with noise-cancellation enabled; use VOX when hands-free is essential.
